Job Overview

The Director is responsible towards the MD for day-to day operations in the UK and to ensure set targets and objectives will be met on monthly basis. The Director reports to the BA Executive Director/BA Finance Manager in areas delegated by the MD to these roles (e.g. annual budget planning, monthly business review etc.) and is a permanent member of the Global Consulting Management Team (GCMT). The Director represents the BA MD as replacement on case-by-case delegation.

Main focus

We are looking for a driver of business development, client portfolio development and team development. Somebody who wants to be part of a journey building a small team into a sustainable UK market leading larger unit, well known in the market place.  

Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Directly responsible for the results of GC UK (P&L) and is collectively responsible for the results of the Business Area in line with the annual target goals and prioritizations;
  • Responsible for managing employees allocated to GC UK;
  • Responsible for allocation of resources from the pool of consultants to ensure utilization of available employees. In this respect, the Director reports to and work with the Executive Director of GC;
  • Responsible for BA sales and marketing within the region;
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale;
  • Responsible for full compliance with the general policies of KGH and specific policies for the BA;
  • Responsible for full compliance with laws and regulations in all GC operations and services;
  • Responsible for managing the annual result of WE@KGH;
  • Responsible for ensuring HubSpot to be continuously updated and correct;
  • Responsible for compliance with KGH Sustainability Programme,
  • Responsible for the allocated annual budget of GC UK and to take financial decisions in line with the authorization model of KGH (PoA with delegation limits);
  • Responsible for any other business or tasks delegated in writing from the MD of GC; and
  • Responsible for the conduction of annual development talks with staff in line with KGH policy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field;
  • Dedication to providing great customer service;
  • Experience in management, operations, and leadership;
  • Experience in customer relationship management;
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management;
  • A wide understanding of customs duty and its administration.
  • Familiarity with other taxes, notably excise duty and VAT.
  • Self-motivation and flexibility.
  • Willingness to travel widely within Europe and, where necessary, elsewhere
  • Proven personnel management skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Project management.
  • Research skills.
  • IT knowledge (MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
